From Jeff Brown to faculty & staff Tuesday, January 13, 2009     During the winter break ITS installed new technology in 27 classrooms across campus. These upgraded "smart classrooms" have new projectors, electric screens, and integrated sound systems all controlled by a simple control box mounted on the wall. The new controls are clearly labeled and instructions for operating the controls are posted on the "wallpaper" of the classroom computer as well as the desktop. These instructions are posted in each of the newly updated Smart Classrooms (1/09): Technology Enabled Classroom Instructions All instructions refer to the black control console mounted on the classroom wall. Laptop Press the ON button and wait for the screen to lower and the projector to warm up. Connect one end of your VGA cable to your laptop VGA port and the other end to the silver port on the wall labeled VGA.
